Holistic & Evidence-Informed Care Provision

Midwifery +
MSP

As a Registered Midwife, my prenatal and postpartum clinical care is fully covered by the Medical Services Plan (MSP) for eligible British Columbia residents. Families receive evidence-informed, holistic support throughout pregnancy and up to six weeks (day 42) postpartum, ensuring continuity of care during key perinatal transitions.

Earthside Birth Collaboration

While Milk Thistle Care operates as an independent practice, I work directly out of and alongside the team at Earthside Birth. Working in close collaboration with my midwifery colleagues, Earthside provide seamless, full-scope primary midwifery care spanning pregnancy, labor, birth, and early postpartum care.

Referrals + Consultations

Consultations require a formal referral from a licensed healthcare provider (such as a midwife, family doctor, or pediatrician). To ensure accessible and flexible care, consultations are available both through MSP coverage with a provider referral and as a direct private-pay option (with limited availability)

Coverage & Fees

MSP-Covered Care: Lactation, functional infant feeding, prenatal, and postpartum support is fully covered by MSP up to 6 weeks postpartum with referral from primary/perinatal care provider (RM,GP,OB,NP,RN,RSW)

Private-Pay Services: Specialized lactation support and pediatric bodywork services are available as private-pay options beyond the 6-week postpartum period until 4-6 months postpartum. Limited availability.

Virtual Access

Care should not be a privilege of geography. My practice is built to bridge the gap between specialized clinical expertise and the families who need it most, regardless of where they reside in British Columbia. We prioritize trauma-informed, accessible communication and flexible care structures to ensure that every individual feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their journey.

Bridging
the Distance
